The fines; they are a changing...
Beginning on Sept. 2, 2003 the fines for videos and DVDs will increase from 2.00 to 2.25. This also includes the fines for non-fiction videos and DVDs. Before you begin to think this is unfair remember that Green Hills does not charge you for the initial checkout of videos and DVDs like some libraries, which might have been an alternative to the fine increase.

"It's me Mario!!"
That's right Mario and the rest of his Gamecube buddies are here at the library. Listening to your suggestions we have now expanded our video game collection with Gamecube games.
Sorry about not having a full list this time but off of the top of my head here are some of the titles:
The Legend of Zelda: The Windwalker
Godzilla: Destroy all Monsters Melee
Luigi's Mansion
There are more games than that.. Believe me.. So enjoy and remember if you have any more suggestions let us know by putting them in the suggestion box located at the circulation desk.

"Hot Picks" are here catch them if you can.
You'll now notice when you walk into the library a display with your favorite best selling authors. Why are these books here? You may ask. Simple, they are part of the "hot picks" selection.
What exactly is a "hot pick"?
A "hot pick" is a very popular book that can be checked out on a first come first served basis. It may only be checked out for a one-week period and cannot be renewed. Plus, the overdue fines are a little heftier coming in at .25 a day instead of the usual .10 a day fine.
Since starting the "hot picks" program a little over a week ago it has been very successful and hope to see an even greater interest. So the next time you are in stop by and let the reference staff know how much you are enjoying the "hot picks" program.
